Which Yoga is the Best?

Welcome to the age of,    “[YOUR NAME HERE] Yoga.”

There’s no right or wrong, or even one way. There are only moments of listening.

No one that is alive today created Yoga. They may like Yoga, they may want to show you what their interpretation is and play sweet music for you and give you an awesome experience where you connect with your body. But they don’t know how to access that or give you that access. They don’t know exactly what your body needs, how could they?

The dangerous aspect of Yoga becoming popular is that literally thousands of people that do not know enough about their body are using an incredibly meticulous method to pull on bones and joints.

They are practicing with an image or a form that they have seen in some magazine on someone else and their entire practice is outward instead of inwards. These practitioners are missing the heart of the art!

What has become important is the clothing they wear, the mat they use, the bags and water bottles that sit in their cubby near the studio, the studio they practice at and the teachers they follow, and of course who could forget the amazing photos they post.

This is all fine and good. Some clothing design really get you and you have to own it as part of your expression. And yes, Yoga mats are not all created equal, this is true.

But yoga happens in the sand, on the street, on hardwood floors with ripped up tee-shirts and a barely functional water fountain. Yoga is a vision someone has when they haven’t used their phone for a full day, thoughts that become reality, and it can happen in the most boring of asanas.

Find your inner wisdom. Listen to the Guru that is you.
